I learned this at the rescue I volunteer at. Great idea cleaning up flower beds for them - most organizations are happy for any kind of volunteering. One Saturday in August I've volunteered with the rescue organization to time a loggers event in Campbell River - they give the rescue $2500 for the weekend and the rescue supplies 36 volunteers. We had a nest in our yard a couple of years ago and learned a lot about robins. It takes them a few days to get flying properly but they are still being cared for.<br /><br />Good luck with selling your house. My in-laws have had their house for sale for two years now. The market has tanked in Alberta and they're unwilling to lower the price because they think it's worth more. Sadly no buyers want to pay more.
