I like to work like that too, some work, some games etc. We are likely to get more rain today which makes me happy. :)
That corner is nice now, we all have areas where we can't cut easily and I've joked about cutting our small grass yard (when we had our house in the city) with scissors but never heard of anyone doing it! Mom always would cut some for a vase in the house (with my step-dad, I mean, not my childhood home). I forget how she rinsed them first to get the ants off -- dish soap in the water? (I wonder why ants love peonies so much.)

Nice to see the kildeer! I've seen only one this year, though I rarely am in the right spot to see them at all, so I considered myself lucky. The pelicans never cease to amaze me, what a sight they are! Huge!

Your maternal grandmother had quite an interesting saying; I've never heard that one before. I have to ask, how much blue does it take to make a Dutch boy's pants? :-)

Take care and have a terrific week.Keahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06809655107065918944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5098840169301919183.post-90600492679008934512021-06-19T17:21:06.526-06:002021-06-19T17:21:06.526-06:00the yellow flowers are birds foot trefoil. It was storming this AM (and over night) but it is lovely now.
I do believe I see 2 gophers in your picture - one appears to the left and back of the other. Maybe it is just me. I always enjoy your pictures.
Good place for the peony - that is a nice plant.
Enjoy your weekend.Cheryl Kimbleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06485771676254429681noreply@blogger.com
