Yep, animals definitely know who to like and who not to like. Except for Kris's cat Eiko. I really do think the poor dear was badly abused before Kris got her.
MY cat is super friendly but always to the one person who is allergic or is fearful of cats. My dog, on the other hand, is very anti-social and has been known to "nip" at people she doesn't know if they come to our house. We have to keep her outside. If she knows them, she loves them. She has trust issues.
Listen to them, they're often better judges of character than we are! 😁
